The factory unit, with innovative equipment, is one of the pioneers in the production of eggs, feed and fertilisers in Bengo Province.
Fazenda Filomena, a factory unit located in Bengo province, which is responsible for producing eggs, bran and fertilisers, received a visit this Friday, 4 November from INAPEM’s technical team, which has been working since yesterday in this part of the country, within the scope of the campaign to expand Feito em Angola Service.
The delegation led by João Nkosi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of INAPEM, visited all factory’s compartments, and had the opportunity to assess the standards, production levels and industrial operating capacity, with emphasis on the construction work of the future unit where a slaughterhouse for chicken production may operate by the end of this year.
The industrial unit, which is located in an area of 16 hectares, has 10 thousand tons of storage silos for bran.
The feed produced, besides being packaged, also serves as a supplement for feeding the chicks. Already at the adult stage, the birds at slaughtering stage, produce 700 thousand eggs per day and with the prospect of increasing production. The main raw material of this factory, maize, is national, coming from different provinces of the country, such as Bié, Huambo and Malanje.
The factory, which generated 450 direct jobs, including 425 Angolans and 25 foreigners, already uses the Feito em Angola stamp, and has now issued a formal request to replace the old stamp with the new one in order to give greater value to its national products and take advantage of innovations in the restructuring of the new SFA stamp.
